Installing and Uninstalling the Application By double-clicking the "AutoRun.exe", the installation menu screen is displayed. Then please read the explanation and execute the installation. Checking the Version in the Application It is displayed that "Version" is selected from the "Server Settings" menu. ******************************************************************** 6. Notes and Restrictions - When installing the software, disable SSL in Microsoft SQL Server. - Set the display resolution of your computer to at least 1024 x 768 pixels. - This application can only be installed or uninstalled by a user with administrator rights. - This software uses OpenAPI to communicate with devices. Enable the OpenAPI settings in the administrator settings of the device before using the software. - To view the User's Guide, Adobe Reader must be installed. - When you change the device setting to the static IP address from DHCP, select "Never Use" of "Using Boot Protocol" in [Network] - [TCP/IP] screen. Then input the desired address into the "IP Address", "Subnet Mask", and "Default Gateway" field on the same screen. If you can not change "Using Boot Protocol" on the [TCP/IP] screen, please disable "BOOTP" and "DHCP" of "Boot Protocol Enabled" on the screen. If you can not change "Boot Protocol Enabled", please disable "BOOTP" and "DHCP" of "Boot Protocol Enabled" by using operation panel of the device. - In versions prior to 1.0.06000, "IPP" "Port Number" of "Get from Device" may not display on the "Information" screen or it may not be possible to be set in "Set to Devices" on the "Multi-Setting" screen of Device List. Execute "Get from Device" again. - It may take some time to launch the application. In such a case, please perform the following steps. 1) Launch Internet Explorer 2) Open Internet Option under tools menu. 3) Open Advanced tab and turn off the following setting. "Check for server certificate revocation" - When the SSL Encryption Strength of the device is set to "AES-256", Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 cannot connect to the device. When using one of these operating systems, change the encryption strength setting of the device to other than "AES-256". - If you are not using the Windows Firewall the box for "Automatically add the application to the Windows Firewall exception list." in the "Port Setting" screen of the Enterprise Suite installer must not be checked. - If you install or update the application while SQL server is not started properly, the installer will indicate that the installation or update failed. However, the actual installation or the update is most likely completed in such case. In order to complete the whole process, you need to start the server in Admin Console after the SQL server is fully started. - Add-on modules of versions prior to 2.0 can not be installed in Device Manager 2.0. - The [Back] and [Refresh] buttons of the Web browser cannot be used. - The license authentication server uses Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Therefore the Maintenance Expiry Date and the Trial Expiry Date may get shortened or extended for maximum of one day depending on the timing of your license registration. It is due to the time difference between your computer and the license authentication server. - Due to device restrictions some characters may not be allowed in the fields of "Nickname", "Location", and "Contact Person" in the summary screen of the Device List (Device List > select a device > [System] > [Summary]).
